Ordering process

After being prescribed a personalised treatment plan from an alternative healthcare clinic, you can manage all of your orders in one spot. In uMeds you can create a new order, view your order history, track current orders and download order receipts. 

As long as you have remaining repeats and an active prescription, you can order more medication through uMeds. 

Once your order has been paid, it’s sent from the warehouse to the pharmacy for dispensing. It’s then picked up by one of our delivery partners and delivered to your nominated address.

 

Start your order

For Alternaleaf patients:
To place an order, follow the steps below:

  1. Select “Start your order” from the homepage or left navigation menu.
  2. In the order medication screen, you can add and remove items from your cart. You can do this by selecting and deselecting the checkbox to the right of the relevant product.

  3. You’ll see a dropdown for each product where you can choose the number of units you would like to order.



  4. Once you're happy with your order summary, select “Proceed to checkout”.

  5. You’ll then be taken to the checkout page to complete payment.

For all customers (other than Alternaleaf patients)

  1. Select “Order Medication” from the left navigation menu 



  2. Select “Add a new script” and type in your token number



  3. If we have a product match to your scripted medication, and the uMeds team has reviewed and accepted your script, your medication will show as available to order in the “Order Medication” screen.

  4. Once you're happy with your order summary, select your medication and “Proceed”.


Out of stock

For Alternaleaf patients: If your medication is out of stock and you've seen a doctor from our partner clinic within the last 3 months, we can work with them to provide you with a replacement prescription.

This is a temporary prescription for an alternative medication, to help get you through until your regular medication is back in stock.

  1. Select “Start your order” from the homepage or left navigation menu.
  2. In the order medication screen, select the dropdown “Can’t order now”.



  3. There will be a message stating your medication is “Out of stock”.

  4. Select the option “Check product status”.



  5. Choose “Request Alternative Product”.                  



  6. Once completed, the button will be greyed out and changed to “Alternative product requested”.

Replacement prescriptions still need to be authorised by your doctor, which can be done without the need of a consultation. Please allow up to 5 business days for authorisation.

You will be notified via email once your replacement prescription is uploaded.

 

For all customers (other than Alternaleaf patients): 

If your scripted medication is out of stock, you will not be able to proceed with your order. 

Unfortunately we do not have access from the supplier about the expected return date for this medication. If you would like to discuss alternatives, please contact your prescribing doctor.
